CAG pulls up Govt

NEW DELHI, FEB 15: Comptroller and Auditor General V K Shunglu blamed poor tax compliance and dismal quality of government expenditure as prime reasons for fiscal deficit in the country.

Inaugurating the workshop on ''Fiscal responsibility of government'', organised by the National Institute of Financial Management, Shunglu said the deficts problems was further excerbated by poor returns on high cost central borrowings.
