Akhmedov appointed chief coach


BANGALORE, FEBRUARY 17: The All-India Football Federation (AIFF) appointed Islam Akhmedov (Uzbekistan) as the chief coach to train different teams. Two more coaches will be appointed to train under-16, under-19 and World Cup qualifying teams. Akhmedov had played in three super division clubs in the former USSR, including Pakhtakor in Tashkent.

Former coach Rustam Akramov will be the Chief advisor and consultant for one full year in India and will be based in Sports Authority of India, Southern Centre.
