Advocates' in Chennair extended stir till Feb 24

CHENNAI, FEB 19: The members of the Madras High Court Advocates' Association will continue toabstain from attending courts, tribunals and other fora till February 24.

A resolution to this effect was adopted at the association's extraordinarygeneral body meeting held under the chairmanship of P Jayaraman, on Friday.The meeting also resolved to take out a procession at 11.30 am on Monday(February 21) to the Secretariat and to meet the Chief Minister. Anotherresolution requested the Additional Solicitor General, Advocate General,Additional Advocate General and the Public Prosecutor to support theiragitation by instructing all Government pleaders, advocates and standingcounsel to abstain from attending to their work in the courts.
