Meeting of Grounds' Committee
EXPRESS NEWS SERVICE

New Delhi, Mar 1: In the context of the recent controversy regarding the role of the Grounds and Pitches Committee vis-a-vis the Indian team's loss to South Africa in three days in the first Test at Mumbai, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has convened a meeting of the grounds committee at the Karnataka State Cricket Association premises in Bangalore on March 6 during the course of the second Test.

The BCCI president and its secretary are expected to apprise the members of the grounds committee about their roles and responsibilities towards preparation of grounds, pitches and infrastructural facilities while discharging their duties.

Former India skipper Krish Srikkanth heads the grounds committee as its chairman while its other members are Dhiraj Parsanna, Vinod Mathur, Gopal Bose, Surinder Khanna and Kasturi Rangan.
