US president's visit to India

Dear Sir,

The US President Clinton's visit to India is controversial, at the same time a welcome sign. It is controversial in the sense that prominence being given to India rather than Pakistan. Moreover, owing to the weak security and non presence of democracy in Pakistan might have prompted the US authorities to take such a step.
Secondly, India will be put to force to sign CTBT by Clinton, at which instant India will be in a dilemma. But, in view of the security
threats being posed from neighbouring countries, India should'not sign CTBT at this point of time.
In fact, the US president's visit to India surely reflects the position of the country in the world as the technologically developed one, competing with the super powers. The enhancements that are taking place especially in the areas of Information Technology need to be exposed at this moment. I think the same would be conveyed to the president in his visit to the Silicon valley of India, Hyderabad.
The services and the efforts being put up by the Honourable Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh Mr .Naidu, are commendable in this respect, putting the state and country in a slot of development. These developments should be recognised by the president
At the same time the sanctions need to be lifted permanantly over India as those greatly hamper the growth of our country in the long run.
The US president's visit to India greatly exposes the fact to World that India can be put up as one of the superpowers.

Thanking You,

Someswar Ganugapati, USA
