PRESS TRUST OF INDIA

Calcutta, April 12: The inquiry report on last August's train accident at Gaisal, in which at least 288 persons were killed, would be ready within `two or three months,' according to chairman of the inquiry commission Justice G N Ray.

``Questioning of some witnesses is still on. The report is expected to the ready within two or three months,'' Ray told newsmen here.

The accident occurred following a collision between the Awadh Assam Express and Brahmaputra Mail.

Earlier, addressing a function on the occasion of Railway Week at the South Eastern Railway headquarters here, he said there was scope for improvement of security in the railways.

He called upon the railway employees to improve their work culture and increase their contact with railway users with aim of redressing their problems.
