Call of the wild

On Tuesday night, Universal Music threw a bash to commemorate the release of their latest soundtrack: Ramgopal Varma's Jungle. Not surprisingly, the Regent Hotel in Bandra (where the event was held) was teeming with gatecrashers eager to catch a glimpse of the chamakte sitare. And boy, did they go home happy... there was Sunil Shetty (in those silly yellow shades of his, accompanied by lovely wife Manna), Urmila Matondkar (looking stunning, and escorted by her gracious mummy, daddy and niece), Fardeen Khan (who entered solo), Kashmira Shah (who looked as sexy as ever) and a handful of others including Smriti Mishra, Makrand Deshpande and Avtaar Gill. Also spotted model Himanshu Malik (sporting a tight black shirt and a pretty lass on his arm) and music director Sandeep Chowta. Mr Moneybags Bharat Shah preened even as guests went into raptures over what seemed like some fine promos of the film... And there was Ramgopal Varma (all beefed up -- Sunil Shetty, we hear has been teaching him a thing ortwo about workouts!) glowing with pride. And he has reason to, right?
