Ultras kidnap six persons, including two children in Tripura

AGARTALA, MAY 15: Atleast six persons including two children have been kidnapped by the ultras of the outlawed National Liberation Front of Tripura (NLFT) in seperate incidents in the state, police said here today.

A group of heavily armed insurgents swooped down at Fotamati village under Radhakisherepur police station in South Tripura district yesterday and forcibly abducted one Pulin Majumder (50) and his ten-year old son Pijush while seriously wounding his septuagenarian Birendra Das, police said.

In another incident, the ultras last night kidnapped a minor girl Rakhi Patoari (8), from Kalasi under Baikhora police station in the same district, police said.

Divyendu Datta (25), a private tutor was abducted by the ultras from his village, Mashauli under Fatikroy police station of North district on Saturday evening while he was on his way home.

In yet another incident Reang (55) and his son had been kidnapped from their village Tularam under Pecharthal police station in the same district on Friday last, police said.
