Hunt on for attesting authority

The scrutiny committee is said to be investigating the role of one Dr Parate, Associate Professor of GMC, who attested the copy of the `fabricated' school leaving certificate of Keshaorao Bhobhate (Dr Bhobhate's father) - mentioning his caste as `Dhangad'. This copy was submitted by Dr Bhobhate to the scrutiny committee and was matched against the clinching document - the original school leaving certificate of his father (obtained by Police Vigilance Cell) which mentions the caste as `Dhangar'. Attesting important documents without verification is considered to be an offence.
