Express, Observer to cross-promote brands
NEW DELHI, JUNE 7: The Indian Express group and the Observer Network have signed a memorandum of understanding to cross-promote their radio and print businesses. Observer Network has won licences to operate nine FM stations in cities including Delhi, Mumbai, Calcutta and Chennai. The agreement is based on an understanding that the Express group will promote its brand through the proposed FM radio stations of the Observer Network and the Observer of Business and Politics and Sunday Observer newspapers. In return, the FM and web radio and print brands of the Observer group will be promoted through the Indian Express group publications including The Indian Express, Financial Express, Jansatta and Loksatta.
