Atherton anchors England run-chase
London, July 1: England snatched a memorable victory in the 100th Test at Lord's when they beat West Indies by two wickets in the second Test. After dismissing West Indies for 54 in their second innings on Friday, England reached their target of 188 on the third day through a bold 33 not out in deteriorating light by Man-of-the-Match Dominic Cork. Courtney Walsh, the world record holder for Test wickets, looked to have turned the match in his team's favour with his second spell of five for 39 in 12 overs, including the key wicket of Michael Atherton for 45. Walsh reduced England to 160 for eight before Cork and Darren Gough combined in a heart-stopping partnership to square the five-match series.
