Gaur demands admission of adjournment motion on drafts issue
PRESS TRUST OF INDIA

BHOPAL, JULY 30: Madhya Pradesh BJP vice-president and senior MLA Babulal Gaur today demanded that an ajournment motion be admitted in the State Assembly to discuss the alleged use of fake drafts for crores of rupees during auction of liquor-shops, this year, at many places, including Indore and Raipur.

Addressing mediapersons here, Gaur said Assembly Speaker Sriniwas Tiwari had allowed a half-an-hour discussion on the topic following a starred question on July 19 but added that the issue was of such importance that it needed to be discussed under an adjournment motion.

Asked what would be his future course of action if the Speaker did not accept his demand for an adjournment motion, Gaur said he would raise the issue again in the House where he would decide his strategy after his demand was rejected.

He said it was possible that the BJP might take the issue to the High Court or the Supreme Court ``since it appeared that the Chief Minister Digvijay Singh and the Commercial Taxes Minister, Satya Narayan Sharma, were involved in it''.
