We must all stay calm, insists Parvathamma
Express News Service

Bangalore, July 31: Parvathamma Rajkumar, wife of Dr Rajkumar, today appealed to fans and friends of the matinee idol to maintain peace and not cause unnecessary tension over what had happened.

``Our very invaluable thing (Dr Raj) is with Veerappan. At this moment, we all have to be extremely peaceful and carefully secure his release,'' she said adding that any disturbance would do no good to the cause of his safety.

``I myself am calm and composed. I want you all to remain like that. Veerappan conducted himself extremely well with us. I am aware of your immense affection for Rajkumar.'' She also appealed to the Press to be restrained in their reportage of events and not to blow anything out of proportion.

Chief Minister S M Krishna also appealed to the people that the State Government would do everything possible to secure the safe release of Dr Rajkumar. He asked people to maintain peace and cooperate with the Government.

ASSOCIATION APPEAL: Akhila Karnataka Rajkumar Fans Association President Sa Ra. Govindu appealed to the Tamil Nadu and Karnataka Governments to forget differences, if any, and work together for the safe release of Dr Rajkumar. Govindu told a Press conference that the members of public should not panic and maintain peace. ``Every action will have implications on the situation of the star's life, who is a captive under Veerappan,'' he said.

Govindu said that the association was planning to go out on vehicles and advise the public to maintain peace. Tamil star Rajnikanth is also reported to have issued an appealed for the safe release of Dr Rajkumar.
