England rout India in opener

MUMBAI, JULY 31: India crashed to an 81-run defeat against England in their opening league match of the Costcutter Junior One-Day World Cup at the Eton College ground in London on Sunday.

India replied well when Ambali Rayudu (34) and Abhinav Kumar (28) put on 43 runs for the opening wicket. But once the two openers departed the rest failed to put up a fight and caved in.

India now play Holland on Monday and then West Indies on August two. The top two from the group will advance to the Super League.
