It's my choice

Amisha Patel on the one film that always makes her cry:

First of all, I have to admit that I'm a complete sucker for mushy films. Movies like Sommersby and Sleepless In Seattle never fail to make me break down into tears. But the film that really chokes me up with emotion each time I watch it, is Pretty Woman. I think it's such a wonderful story, almost a modern-day Cinderella story.

I love the whole unspoken, undeclared romance between Julia Roberts and Richard Gere. Neither confess their feelings to the other while they're together, but still they yearn to be together when they know it's time to go their separate ways. The last bit where Richard Gere climbs upto her window through the rear staircase is sooooooo romantic. Gosh, it's such a lovely moment, how can you control your tears!

Although it isn't a sad film, the romance and the poignant moments in the movie arrest you and just make you feel so overwhelmed. Everytime I see the film, I find myself feeling like jelly. I'm so numbed by its beauty.
