MUMBAI, AUG 26: Three persons, including two children, were killed and four injured in a blast at the Anna Nagar hutment in sahar village of Andheri (East) early this morning.

Police said the blast occured at 0030 hrs in a hut where a cache of gunpowder was kept. Those killed included two brothers, identified as Vijay Thakur (3) and Ajay Thakur (5). Another 35-year-old victim was yet to be identified. The cause of the explosion was not immediately known. Police said they were investigating how a large amount of gunpowder reached the hut. The injured, including the mother of the two children, were admitted to hospital.
