Expressindia.com launches next-generation instant messenger
EXPRESS NEWS SERVICE

MUMBAI, AUGUST 28: Expressindia.com has joined hands with WorldNetIndia (WNI), the country office of the US-based global WNC group, for a range of solutions for its Websites at www.expressindia.com.

An instant messenger which can talk to all the big brands on the Net -- like Yahoo!, ICQ, AOL and MSN -- has already been put on the site by WNI. The company will soon host all Indian Express Websites and has the capability to bring better service to our users.

WNI will also provide next-generation Web-based solutions for several Express projects on the Internet, which will bring new products to our users.Based in Chandigarh, the company specialises in high-end solutions for e-commerce, besides products and services for other segments of the Internet industry, including multilingual portals. CEO Mandeep Sehgal, 23, seeks to establish a presence in the Indian and pan-Asian markets.

The company, whose US parent is a leading innovator in the e-commerce market overseas, plans to make merchant accounts available to all and introduce foolproof online credit card processing in India, using CDL and TL technologies.

WNI is coming out with a revolutionary, multi-million dollar CDlock technology which will make the very concept of digital signatures redundant. Using the CDlock, financial institutions and banks in India will be able to perform totally safe transactions on the Web.

WorldNetIndia aims to become a major free ISP, using its group's satellites and networks set up in the UK and US. In India, they intend to capture a majority market share in the IT trade by 2003. The agenda for 2000-2001 includes setting up their own gateway and providing free Internet access to people all over the country.

In the coming months, the partnership with WNI will bring a slew of new services and benefits to the users of Indian Express Websites.
