Thursday night also saw the inauguration of yet another portal. Melange, the pricey boutique at Altamount Road played host to an exceedingly snooty event which was graced by the usual South Mumbai housewife-turned-celebrity. The website, visavisfolio.com is a comprehensive art portal, which has extensive information on architecture, paintings and ceramics, among the many other topics.

The event also featured a presentation on Ladakh, a book by ace photographer Prabhudo Das Gupta. Spotted in the crowd were MC Sophiya Haque, Rahul and Malini Akerkar, Jehagir Sabbawala, Marc Robinson and Kailash and Aarti Surendranath. The final word on it: one didn't know whether the party was organised to mark the opening of the website, or to showcase Prabhudo's fine works or to simply promote the boutique.
