Rajkumar's son warns they will enter the forest
EXPRESS NEWS SERVICE

BANGALORE, SEPT 23: To protest against the delay in the release of Rajkumar by Veerappan, the All Karnataka Rajkumar Fans' Association (KRJFA) and the Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce (KFCC) today took out a peaceful rally in Kunigal and Nelmangala.

KRJFA president S.R. Govindu, film personalities like Narayan, Sundarraj, Umashri, Kumar Govind, Ram Kumar, Ramesh Bhat, Shashikumar, Jayanti, Pramila Joshi, Shivrajkumar, Raghvendra Rajkumar, Puneet Rajkumar and others participated in the rally.

Addressing Rajkumar's fans later on Government College Grounds, son Raghvaendra Rajkumar urged the Centre to intervene in this matter as it had done in the Hizbul Mujahedin hostage case. ``If the Centre has set such a precedent, it should be followed here too,'' he said.

He also denied that Rajkumar was leading a comfortable life in the jungle as reported in newspapers and warned that if the Government failed to secure the actor's release, the film industry would enter the forests where he was being held hostage.

Raghvendra also announced that his organisation had called for a state-wide bandh on September 28 and urged the people to extend their support.

Rajkumar's other son Shivrajkumar spoke of his family's intentions to go on a hunger strike and request the Supreme Court to release TADA detainees imprisoned in Mysore jail.
