Teenagers hang 11-yr-old in Pune

PUNE, OCT 14: In a gruesome incident, an 11-year-old boy was allegedly beaten up and then hanged to death by two teenagers here on Friday, police said.

Mohit Mansukhani, a sixth standard student of Sardar Dastur school in Pune camp, was enticed by the duo to a hillock on the pretext of tresure hunt.

There they beat up the boy, tied a leather belt around his neck and hanged him from a tree, police said. They then fled the scene, leaving the boy to die, police added.

The two were arrested and charged with kidnapping and murder, police said adding that the motive behind the macabre incident was yet to be ascertained.
