Indo-French cardiology conference in city
HYDERABAD, OCT 14: The emerging trends in coronary interventions and non-surgical methods to treat heart diseases would be discussed at a three-day Indo-French cardiology conference to be held here from November 3. A special focus of the conference, to be attended by a 16-member team of leading French cardiologists, would be on specific patterns of cardiac diseases in South Asian Region (SAR), conference organising secretary and director of Cath Lab and Interventional Cardiology of Apollo Hospitals here P C Rath said. About 300 cardiologists from SARC region would take part in the meet while French specialists would give demonstrations of new interventional techniques to tackle complex cases of coronary, renal and perepheral blockages, he said. ``The French cardiologists are among the best in the world in the area of interventional cardiology and we will benefit a lot from their professional expertise,'' Rath said. The conference, being sponsored by Indo-French Interventional Cardiology Foundation, would provide a platform for cardiologists to discuss new trends in coronary interventions, approaches to patients with unstable coronary syndromes, angiogenesis and direct myocardial revascularisation, said Rath.
