Rajput wants longer term to coach juniors
PRESS TRUST OF INDIA

JAMSHEDPUR, October 14: Former Test opener Lalchand Rajput, who has been appointed coach of Bihar junior teams till Noveember one, on Saturday said he would accept a longer term offer only after evaluating the boys' performance.

Rajput said though the under-14 and under-19 team's are technically sound, they need to polish attitudinal approach and mental strength for better performance.

The Bihar under-19 team was runner-up to Punjab in last year's Cooch Behar trophy.

The former Mumabi opener, who played for Assam last year in the Ranji trophy, said he would consider to switch over to Bihar this season, if an offer was extended.
