Thiruvananthapuram, oct 24: A woman, who allegedlysupplied the killer brew which claimed several lives in kollam district, was arrested in the early hours today from a lodge in thrissur, police said.

The woman, hairunnisa, along with her acomplice one raju,was being brought to kollam where they would be produced before the magistrate, they said.

Seventeen people, including a woman, had died afterconsuming illicit liquor supplied from her house at kalluvathukkal in the worst hooch tragedy in recent Times, which had so far claimed 29 lives since saturday night in three places in kollam district.

Hairunnisa, who is serving a six-year prison term fordealing in illicit liquor in 1996, is now on bail. She had been absconding since saturday night, police said.
