MUMBAI, NOVEMBER 21: Mumbai’s Rupa Mani Kaushik has been selected for the first US Professional Tennis Registry-COSCO scholarship award 2000. She is the only tennis professional from India who has been selected in the inaugural year. The selection was on the basis USPTA rating, dedication to tennis teaching profession, contributions to USPTR India and duration of membership of the PTR.

The award, instituted by the USPTR India, will be presented to Rupa during the workshop to be held at the Penninsula Tennis Academy Centre, New Delhi on December 2. This award will enable her to attend the next USPTR International Tennis Symposium and also the US $ 25000 championship to be held in South Carolina, USA in February 2001.
