Madonna says she will marry her Guy

LONDON: Pop superstar Madonna and British boyfriend Guy Ritchie expect to marry next year and settle in London, the Sun tabloid quoted her on Wednesday as saying in an interview.

The singer, 42, said the couple had ruled out getting married before Christmas because they were too busy, but would tie the knot soon afterwards.

The couple wanted Rocco and Madonna's three-year-old daughter Lourdes, to be educated in England and were looking forward to setting up a family home in London.

They have reportedly paid $10 m for a mansion in London's trendy Notting Hill district.

Madonna, who has amassed an estimated fortune of $200m during an 18-year career, said she felt much more comfortable in London than in Los Angeles.

"I can walk to places and I like that. I can find my way around and I can help people out when they ask me for directions to the pub or whatever," the Sun quoted her as saying.

Madonna will perform her first British concert for sevenyears in front of 3,500 at London's Brixton Academy on November 28.

The concert follows a similarly low-key performance in New York earlier this month which the singer described as a chance to get reacquainted with a live audience.

Madonna admitted she felt nervous about the London concertafter taking a lengthy respite from live performances to have her children.

The concert will be broadcast live on the Internet on www.msn.co.uk/madonna.
