John Abraham on the one film that always makes him cry

Honestly speaking, I rarely cry while watching a film. But if I were to think of any one film that really left me weeping buckets, then that would have to be Titanic. I find it unable to watch a movie more than once, and this film was no exception either. However, the only time I went to the cinema to see Titanic, I was so moved that I felt tears coming to my eyes. I think the whole idea of two people falling in love so intensely is what has such an effect on me.

I vividly remember that once scene where the older Rose (played by Gloria Stuart) walks to the edge of the ship and lets go of the Heart of the Ocean, which sinks to the bottom of the ocean... Gosh, what a scene! Another scene which I cannot get out of my mind is the one in which Kate Winslet and Leonardo DiCaprio climb on to the plank of wood and hang on for dear life. That’s so beautifully shot, and even the background music is so haunting.

Of Hindi films, the only one that comes to mind is Ek Duje Ke Liye, which appealed to me largely because Kamalahaasan is such a brilliant actor, and because he makes you so emotional with his performance. That’s among my favourite films it’s one my entire family sat together and watched.
