Raunak Pandit wins rapid fire gold medal in National shooting

Phillaur (Punjab), November 26: Raunak Pandit won the gold medal in the 25M Rapid fire pistol shooting event of the National championship here.

Pandit scored 562 points with the silver going to Pemba Tamang of the Army who scored 559 points. Tamang, who was given a special prize for having won five gold medals in the championship, was followed by Anuyay Yadav of Uttar Pradesh, who had 534 pts to his credit.

Alok Singh won the gold medal in the open category of the 25M Rapid fire pistol shooting event by scoring 514 pts. The silver and bronze medals went to Haneetinder Singh of Punjab and Abhishek of BSF.

Results (all finals):
Women's 25M Sports pistol (ISSF): 1. Sonia Rana (667 pts); 2. Baljeet Kaur (664); 3. Saroja Kumari (660.1).

50M Rifle 3 pt ISSF: 1. Suma Dixit (Railway -665.3); 2. Anjali Vedpathak (CISF- 662); 3. Kuheli Gangulee (CISF- 660.2).

50M Rifle 3 pt ISSF team: 1. CISF (1676); 2. Railway (1669); 3. Infantry (1643).

Men's Rapid fire pistol (ISU) 25M: 1. Raj Khalid (Maharashtra- 534); 2. Shyam Bali (Maharastra); 3. TS Dhillon (Punjab).

Rapid fire pistol (ISU) 25M Team: 1. Army (1683); 2. BSF (1667); 3. Navy (1665).
