Jet Airways counter gutted in Delhi airport fire
PRESS TRUST OF INDIA

NEW DELHI, DEC 15: The counters of Jet Airways were damaged in a fire in the Boeing departure terminal of the Palam domestic airport here on Thursday, airport sources said. The fire at terminal 1-B, which broke out around 2 pm, apparently due to an electric short circuit, was brought under control by personnel of the airport's fire-fighting units, the sources said.

No one was injured in the fire, which caused some panic among the passengers.

Police have registered a case for negligence against electrical maintenance personnel at the airport.

Further investigations were on, police said. Meanwhile, Jet Airways started operating its flights from terminal 1-A of the airport. An airline release said arrangements have been made to transfer passengers from terminal 1-B to 1-A for departure.
