Chori Chori -- Shah makes but half a move
Press Trust of India

December 26: Bharat Shah, financier of the controversial film Chori Chori Chupke Chupke today made an appearance through his lawyers before the special court hearing the case involving producer Nazim Hasan Rizvi for his alleged links with the underworld.

Shah filed a vakalatnama through his lawyers R M Aziz and Girish Kulkarni on behalf of his firm Mega Bollywood Pvt Ltd but surprisingly has not staked claim or raised objections to the seizure of the negatives by the police. In his interviews to the media, Shah has been claiming that the negatives are his property and the police should not hold up the release of the film.

Designated judge A P Bhangale ordered Shah to file written objections or stake his claim at the earliest if he so desires and also ordered the prosecution to supply Shah a copy of the application made by the police on the seizure of the negatives.
