Cement cartel plans fresh hike, builders to stop work
Tightening its grip over the market, a cartel of cement companies have decided to increase prices by Rs 3 per 50 kg bag from tomorrow. With this, cement prices in the Mumbai market will now be in the band of Rs 190-195 range while dealer prices will now be around the Rs 184-mark.




Acquirers of listed PSUs will have to make open offer
Acquirers of the government's stake in public sector companies which are on the disinvestment list will have to make open offers to buy shares from other shareholders.




Exports rise 20.6 pc in Apr-Nov
India's exports jumped by a handsome 20.56% to $28.61 billion in the eight months to Nov 2000 in data released on Monday, but analysts said they expected growth to ease in a slowdown reflecting world trade.
