Minor reshuffle of bureaucrats

MUMBAI, JAN 1: In a minor bureaucratic reshuffle effected by the DF Government on Monday, J M Phatak was appointed as secretary of school education while Sunil Soni was posted as secretary for information technology.

Phatak replaces R B Kanade who has been transferred as project director on World Bank Health Project in place of V S Singh. The latter will be the new joint managing director of CIDCO. Since Phatak was on a study leave, Soni was appointed as divisional commissioner of Konkan.

Ratnakar Gaikwad, divisional commissioner of Pune, was transferred as chief executive officer of Khadi and Village Industries, Mumbai.

The government also posted two other IAS officers, Anna Dani and M B Ray when they retur from leave. Dani was appointed as Commissioner, ESIS in place of A Ramkrishnan while Ray was asked to head Directorate of Employment and Self-Employment, Navi Mumbai as Director.

M S Adtani, chief executive officer of Gadchiroli Zilla Parishad was transferred as additional commissioner in Nagpur Municipal Corporation.

Senior IAS officers R Vasudevan and Ramkrishnan have not been given their new assignments yet.
