Samata rebels to boycott party meet
Samata Party rebels, opposing the party's merger with the JD (U), today decided to boycott the party's National Council meeting beginning in Mysore tomorrow but gave Samata leader and Defence Minister George Fernandes a week's time to sort out the contentious issue.

Insisting that Hurriyat Conference is not the ``true representative'' of the people of J&K, Kashmiri Pandits have opposed the proposed visit by its delegation to Pakistan on Jan 15 and demanded that the separatist conglomerate specify its agenda before the trip.




Canteen stores employees are govt servants -- SC
Supreme Court has held that the employees of the 3,400 unit-run canteens of the defence services are government servants entitled to all the benefits.
