Birth of Pangolin brings cheer to Nandan Kanan
BHUBANESWAR, JAN 7: Embittered over a series of mishaps including the death of 13 royal Bengal tigers, the Nandan Kanan biological park near here has something to cheer about. A Pangolin couple in the zoo gave birth to a baby in their cage this morning, according to park sources. The zoo had two Pangolins, one male and the other female, before the new arrival. Though Pangolins, said to be a threatened species, had bred in the zoo twice before, the babies did not survive, the sources said. Copyright © 2001 Indian Express Newspapers (Bombay) Ltd.
