Buddha flays Trinamool, condemns temple violence
PRESS TRUST OF INDIA

RAIGANJ (WB), JAN 14: West Bengal Chief Minister, Buddhadev Bhattacharjee today lambasted Trinamool Congress and said the party was synonymous with violence.

``You have read the name of Trinamool Congress in newspapers whenever any incident of violence and disturbance occurred in the state in the recent past'' Bhattacharjee told a public meeting here.

He said Trinamool Congress was thickly involved in the violence unleashed in Keshpur and Garbeta in Midnapore district and some areas in Hooghly district too.

Referring to Babri Masjid, he said demolition of the mosque was a criminal act. Despite having constitutional safeguard for all religious communities in the country, it was a matter of great concern that such act of vandalism did take place in India.

He said, BJP was responsible for the "crime" and going by history Congress was a much better organisation than the saffron party because of its secular character.

Earlier, Bhattcharjee sought peoples participation and their suggestion in the running of the government at a public meeting at Balurghat in Dakshin Dinajpur district.

He also inaugurated Buniadpur treasury building and laid the foundation stones for subdivisional administrative building and community building.
