Three suspected terrorists nabbed at Kumbh

KUMBHNAGAR, JAN 14: Three suspected terrorists have been nabbed from the Kumbh mela area, a senior police official said today.

DIG Range, Allahabad, S K Garg told newsmen that the three were taken into custody last night but refused to give further details saying their ingterrogation was on.

Garg, however, said security around the mela area had been tightened.

There was no threat to life and property of pilgrims due to any sabotage acts, he said adding the mela administration was fully geared to meet any threat perception at the Kumbh.

Earlier, Allahabad SSP Pramod Tiwari had denied media reports that three suspected terrorists were taken into custody from the Kumbh village by security officials.
