Vajpayee hints at more taxes to rebuild Gujarat
A day after govt decided to impose two per cent additional surcharge on income and corporate taxes for rebuilding quake hit Gujarat, Prime Minister Atal Behari Vajpayee hinted at a fresh dose of moderate taxes and non-tax measures to mop up resources.

Priest shot at in Imphal
Two unidentified gunmen shot at a Catholic priest critically wounding him in a school campus here on Monday. A police spokesman said that the gunmen walked into the school campus here and shot at the priest wounding him.
