Indian cos throng Cologne fairs
ENS ECONOMIC BUREAU

MUMBAI, FEB 10: Indian exhibitors are preparing more than in the past for a successful participation in 6 trade fairs in Cologne, Germany this year. “After liberalisation, more Indian companies are travelling to Cologne fairs and in 2001 a large number of Indian visitors are expected at Domotechnica (Fair for home appliances), IDS (International Dental Show), Interzum and Anuga,” says the Indo-German Chamber of Commerce.

The International Hardware Fair (World Hand Tools Center Security Systems Locks and Fittings and Builders’ and DIY Supplies): A 10% increase in Indian participation, both with regards to area booked and in terms of number of participants is expected. Nearly 100 companies are expected to participate in this fair in a total net area of over 1500 sq mtrs. “Nearly half of these exhibitors are in the joint pavilion organised by ITPO,” IGCC said. Almost 80% of these exhibitors are from the saddlery sector where India dominates the show.
