India to tour Pak in April 2003
FEB 13: Arch-Rivals India and Pakistan will play six cricket series in the next ten years. This was informed by a co-ordinated tours programme of all the ten test playing nations, chalked out by the International Cricket Council (ICC) in Australia on Sunday. According to information received here, India will visit Pakistan in April 2003 while the neighbouring country would reciprocate the visit in February 2004. India are also scheduled to visit West Indies in April 2002. It will visit England in the summer of 2002 for their first full tour in six years. India will play against Bangladesh in April 2004 when the latter hosts a full series. ACB donates 41 lakhs towards quake relief World Vision's relief efforts for the victims of the Gujarat earthquake received Financial support to the tune of $165,000 (Aus) -- Rs. 41.25 lakhs, from the Australian Cricket Board and a commitment for further support during the forthcoming India tour. ``I am grateful for the support of the ACB and for their financial contribution,'' said John Mathai, National director and CEO, World Vision, India. World Vision and the ACB were looking for an established and dependable relief operation, so that they could lend a hand to the affected people of Gujarat. The second final of the Carlton Series played in Australia (between West Indies and Australia) on February 9 was designated the Indian Earthquake Relief game. The Aussies won by 39 runs.
