Tollygunge to clash with SBT tomorrow
MAR 1: Tollygunge, who have failed to make much of an impact despite having a number of talented players in their ranks, will seek to capitalise on home advantage in what promises to be a hard-fought contest at the Rabindra Sarovar Stadium. Coach Amal Dutta, known for his rather defensive approach, will have to adopt a more attacking strategy against SBT if they are keen to claim full points and consolidate their position on the points table. The home team had abandoned their ultra defensive game and played more aggressively in the last match against F C Kochin but still lost 0-1 despite dominating the encounter. Tollygunge had themselves to blame for the defeat in thelast match as their forwards missed a number of gilt-edged opportunities and the team will be hoping to put up a better show on the morrow. The two Tollygunge strikers Emeka Achilefu and AbdulateefSeriki have not been able to find the target consistently though they have the goal-scoring ability and it remains to be seen whether the duo can deliver the goods tomorrow.
