Air-India enjoy edge over SBT
Press trust of india

Mumbai, March 4: Local outfit Air India hold slight edge over State Bank of Travancore (SBT) when the two clash in the National Football League at the Cooperage here tomorrow.

Air India, who have eight points to their credit, have better striking power with Khalid Jamil, Narendra Meetei and Anthony Fernandes in the forward line, though Fernandes was totally off colour in their last match against Mohun Bagan.

In the mid-field they have four dependable Singhs Raju, Tomba, Bungo, and Ratan while their defence is manned by the hard working Dennis George, Osborn D’Souza and Arun Malhotra. Under the bar they have may Ansari, who too was not in the best of form against Bagan, who won 3-0 on Friday. The visitors will bank on their two strikers Abdul Hakkim and Sylvester Ignitious with Jiju Jacob to back them up for goals. Shabbir Ali and Vinu are the other two to watch while their stopper backs Abdul Noushad and T Ignisious have played well in patches. Their goalkeeper is Feroz Shariff who has had an unimpressive tournament so far.
