Oriental Bank, NDMC, DVB win

New Delhi, March 12: Oriental Bank, NDMC and Delhi Vidyut Board posted victories over their respective opponents in Group-II and IV matches of the Delhi Soccer Association Institutional football League Championship at the Ambedkar Stadium here today.

In group-II match, Oriental Bank defeated last year’s runners-up Food Corporation of India (North Zone) 1-0 and moved into the quarterfinals league. The all-important goal was scored by Vivek Sharma in the third minute of the initial half proceedings.

Referee Mohd Naseeb flashed yellow cards to Food Corporation of India’s Amit Sharma and Oriental Bank of Commerce’s Himanshu Sharma while Food Corporation of India’s Ravi Rana was given marching orders following the red card. Oriental Bank completed their legue engagements by securing 10 points from four matches while FCI (North zone) also collected 10 from four matches to enter the quarterfinals.

In the same group, NDMC prevailed over Delhi Development Authority 1-0.
