MacGill mentally prepared to miss the Ashes too
Press Trust of India

Sydney, March 25: With the Australian cricket team relying more on their formidable pace attack, Stuart MacGill may have to miss out on the coming Ashes series too but the leg-spinner is not complaining. MacGill, who was left out for the India tour with Shane Warne and Colin Miller taking the two slots of spinners, is happy waiting for his time to come.

“I’ve still got a lot of cricket left in me. I want to make sure my interest levels are maintained and that I can perform well at a higher level. The way to do that is to take a break so I’m enthusiastic when the opportunity comes around,” MacGill who took seven wickets in the fifth and final Test against West Indies in January was quoted as saying in the media here today. While some observers believe MacGill has an outside chance to tour, he himself feels that he would not be able to make it and plans to to work in the wine industry.
