MARCH 30: The arrest of five persons by the Lokmanya Tilak Marg police has led to the solution of several cases, including that of the murder of the assistant manager of Taj Hotels at Juhu. They were arrested before from the Zaveri Bazaar area before they committed a dacoity there.

Interrogations revealed that Ajay Kumar Sunil Kumar sharma (21), Rajun alias Deepak Vijay Shinde (20), Ismail Mohommed Shaukat Shaikh (20), Abdul Aslam Salim Shaikh (20) and Raja Ansari have been involved in various cases along the city's beaches over the last two years. Moreover, it was revealed that Ajay Kumar Sharma and Raju Shinde were involved in the murder of Assistant Manager, Taj Hotels, Raju Nambiar, on March 25 and a robbery at the home of one Goerge Alfred Shieree in Versova on the same night.

Joint Commissioner of Police B S Mohite said that Nambiar and his girlfriend, Nadeema Shaikh, were attacked by five robbers on Juhu Chowpatty while Shieree and his girlfriend were robbed at chopper point. DN Nagar police arrested Raju Ansari in the Versova case who had revealed his connection to the gang during interrogation.
