BHEL gets orders worth $500 million
Mumbai, March 17: :Indian state-run power equipment maker Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd said on Monday it had received orders worth around 20.3 billion rupees ($500 million) for an upcoming 1,000 megawatt thermal power project.
The orders, for four units of 250 MW each in the eastern state of Bihar, have been placed by a joint venture of NTPC and state-run Indian Railways, it said in a statement.
BHEL is increasing capacity to 15,000 MW per annum over the next two years, it said.
