NEW DELHI: :Leader of Opposition L K Advani on Saturday called veteran Communist leader Satya Pal Dang over telephone in Amritsar and expressed regret for a reference to him as “late” in his just-published autobiography.

Sources close to Advani said Dang was “generous and gracious and understood that such things do happen”.

They said the 88-year Communist leader appreciated Advani’s gesture in calling him. The sources said all references to Dang in the book were positive especially his role in the fight against terrorist during eighties.
