J-K govt suspends 37 officials
Srinagar, April 30: :The Jammu and Kashmir government on Wednesday suspended 37 officials for remaining absent from duty in Pulwama and Baramulla districts, an official spokesman said.
The Additional Deputy Commissioner, Pulwama, during inspection of various offices in the district found 31 officials absent from duty and placed them under suspension, the spokesman said.
Without identifying the suspended officials, he said these officials were from offices of chief medical office, district to centre, horticulture, electric, animal husbandry, consumer affairs and public distribution department.
In a similar action, Deputy Commissioner, Baramulla placed six officials of municipal council pattan under suspension after they were found absent from duty by tehsildar pattan during inspection.
The suspended officials include executive officer, senior supervisor and junior assistant of the council, the spokesman said.
