‘LTTE may attack PM,Karunanidhi’

Intelligence agencies have warned of a fresh threats to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh,Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M Karunanidhi,Union Home Minister P Chidambaram and Union Home Secretary G K Pillai from the LTTE. Sources said the IB has warned that LTTE could try to attack the PM and Karunanidhi when the former visits Tamil Nadu in January.

The input says that some LTTE terrorists have entered India and are currently hiding in Tamil Nadu. The Centre is learnt to have alerted the Tamil Nadu government.

The EC will announce the schedule for the Special Intensive Revision of electoral rolls in multiple states, including Assam, Kerala, Puducherry, Tamil Nadu, and West Bengal, on Monday. The exercise, which hasn't been conducted in two decades, aims to update the rolls and eliminate duplicate entries and foreign nationals.
