‘Madhuri Gupta acted alone’

Sources in the Delhi Police have revealed that Madhuri Gupta,the Indian diplomat,arrested on April 25 on charges of spying for Pakistan had acted alone in the espionage case....

Sources in the Delhi Police have revealed that Madhuri Gupta,the Indian diplomat,arrested on April 25 on charges of spying for Pakistan had acted alone in the espionage case. They said that Gupta “had given her observations,details of meetings of Indian officials in Islamabad,transfers of officers and press clippings to her handler in Pakistan through emails. She was not being assisted by any other official of the Indian embassy there or anybody in India”.

This has been revealed in investigations carried out by Delhi Police’s Special Cell. An officer said Gupta had “communicated her observations to Mubashar Raza Rana and Jamshed’,who work for the ISI.
