‘Cong not to declare CM candidate now’

General secretary of All India Congress Committee (AICC) Mukul Wasnik said the party had a tradition of not declaring its chief ministerial candidates in Assembly elections and the same was being followed in Gujarat elections. "According to a tradition of Congress, leader of a state is decided after election results are out and after consultations with elected members and leaders of the party," he said in a press conference in Vadodara on Tuesday. Wasnik was in the city to announce party's manifesto parallel to Ahmedabad where other senior Congress leaders also declared it.
