Family said Sharma left his Sector-34 home on Friday morning saying he was going to the Wipro office. He called home at 7.30 pm to say he would be back in an hour

A 25-year-old management executive, who was reportedly missing since Friday evening, was found dead at a bus shelter in Noida Sector-20 the following morning, police said.

Senior police officers said Ravi Sharma might have died of a drug overdose, but they were awaiting the autopsy report to confirm the exact cause of death.

Sharma's family, however, alleged police lapses because he was tagged as "unidentified" when the post-mortem examination was conducted, although a missing report was filed at Sector-20 police station.

The family said Sharma left his Sector-34 home on Friday morning saying he was going to the Wipro office to collect a letter. "He had resigned Wipro and was going to join HCL on Monday," a relative said.

He said Sharma called home around 7.30 pm informing that he would be back in an hour. "An hour later, we got another call. Ravi said there was some problem and he would require some more time. After that, his cellphone was switched off," he said.

"When he didn't return until midnight, we went to Sector-24 police station for help. We were told to go to Sector-20 police station. But the policemen at the Sector-20 station didn't take us seriously and, instead, told us to go back to the Sector-24 station," he said.

After running around the whole night from one police station to another, the family finally managed to convince personnel at the Sector-20 police station on Saturday morning to note down their complaint, the relative said. "We also gave photographs of Ravi to the police," he said.

"On Saturday evening, we got a call from police that Ravi's body was found in the morning. They told us that the autopsy has been conducted and he was tagged as unidentified," a family member said.
